Summary

This book portrays one of the most significant personalities in the history of Islam。 Taking the misunderstandings and defamation about her into consideration, Aisha needs to be understood correctly。 This study by Dr Resit Haylamaz, an expert on the life of the Prophet and his leading Companions, reflects her life in various aspects based on reliable reports。 The book clarifies her critical role at establishing the Islamic teaching, with particular reference to her role in the transmission of private matters concerning women and marital relations, as well as recording the authentic sayings of the Prophet。 As her sensitivity at practicing religion is related in a rich variety of examples, much disputed issues like her marriage age and her stance about Ali ibn Abi Talib are covered as separate topics。

O Allah, our mother nana Aisha (RA) and the beloved wife of the prophet was indeed a remarkable, outspoken, intelligent woman and scholar。 And also a role model to all Muslim women。 I want to meet her in paradise。 Moreover, I prefer the author's narrative style in this than in his other book -biography of our mother Nana Khadija (RA) Here the author didn't write it as if Aisha (RA) was a fictional character rather he was just to her character。 May Allah accept his act。 O Allah, our mother nana Aisha (RA) and the beloved wife of the prophet was indeed a remarkable, outspoken, intelligent woman and scholar。 And also a role model to all Muslim women。 I want to meet her in paradise。 Moreover, I prefer the author's narrative style in this than in his other book -biography of our mother Nana Khadija (RA) Here the author didn't write it as if Aisha (RA) was a fictional character rather he was just to her character。 May Allah accept his act。 。。。more

I was expecting a modern academic style with comparative studies of various sources, detailed discussions on important events such as camel incident etc。 However the book reads more like a traditional religious book。 It basically conveys hadith and sunni opinions related to her, with constant praise for her and other companions。 Assessing for that style, it is somewhat average。 The content could be organized (chronological etc。) better, and repetitions could be avoided。The only somewhat academic I was expecting a modern academic style with comparative studies of various sources, detailed discussions on important events such as camel incident etc。 However the book reads more like a traditional religious book。 It basically conveys hadith and sunni opinions related to her, with constant praise for her and other companions。 Assessing for that style, it is somewhat average。 The content could be organized (chronological etc。) better, and repetitions could be avoided。The only somewhat academic part is the last part of the book related to Aisha's age at the marriage。 That is where the author deviates from traditional sunni opinion and explains the possibility that Aisha could have been 17/18 or older when she married。 I still find the discussion here lacking, especially with regards to how her direct reports about her age (9/10) can be reconciled with her other reports that indirectly indicate an older age。 。。。more

Oh Aisha, a devoted servant of Allah, the daughter of Abu Bakr & The Darling of God’s Messenger SAW。Aisha is the only wife who witnessed a revelation as it came to God’s Messenger & She’s the only one who’ve seen Gabriel in human form and greeted by through Rasulullah SAW。 Because of Aisha RA the verse of Tayammum was revealed (An Nisa 4:41) Her innocence & purity was recorded in Quran verse Surah An-Nur 24:11 (my favourite story of Aisha)。Being a wife to the Prophet gives her an advantage to le Oh Aisha, a devoted servant of Allah, the daughter of Abu Bakr & The Darling of God’s Messenger SAW。Aisha is the only wife who witnessed a revelation as it came to God’s Messenger & She’s the only one who’ve seen Gabriel in human form and greeted by through Rasulullah SAW。 Because of Aisha RA the verse of Tayammum was revealed (An Nisa 4:41) Her innocence & purity was recorded in Quran verse Surah An-Nur 24:11 (my favourite story of Aisha)。Being a wife to the Prophet gives her an advantage to learn & experience a vast knowledge of The Quran & Hadith extensively。 On top of that i believe, it’s due to Aisha intellectual curiosity makes her distinguished。 Aisha possessed inner nature where she “enjoyed questioning & contemplation” and becomes restless about anything until she get into the bottom of it。Though the book centred on Aisha RA, but i’ve learn so much about other aspects too。 A glimpse of intimacy shared between the Prophet & Aisha makes my heart flutter ❤️ Introduction to the other wives of the Prophet & how they had treated each other left me with admiration。 Learning about the 4 Caliphate & the ruling of Islam after the passing of Rasullullah SAW is such an eye opening。 In short this book is rich with knowledge & i enjoy reading from the beginning till the end ❤️ 。。。more

I love this book。 It’s written like a story and is very easy to comprehend。 I came with a lot of questions and finish reading with all of them answered, in fact i learn much more on the events of our Prophet’s life & Aisha R。A。 It was because of Aisha that the Qur’an revealed the punishment for slander, because of Aisha too, the verse about tayammum was revealed and Muslims learnt how to cleanse themselves in a place where there was no water。 MasyaAllah i am in awe at how much knowledge she has I love this book。 It’s written like a story and is very easy to comprehend。 I came with a lot of questions and finish reading with all of them answered, in fact i learn much more on the events of our Prophet’s life & Aisha R。A。 It was because of Aisha that the Qur’an revealed the punishment for slander, because of Aisha too, the verse about tayammum was revealed and Muslims learnt how to cleanse themselves in a place where there was no water。 MasyaAllah i am in awe at how much knowledge she has pass down to us and how out of her curiosity we get to know the secret whispered from Prophet Muhammad to his daughter, Fatima R。AMay this book be of benefit to all。 Amiin 。。。more

Knowing how fervently I love A'isha RA, it's no wonder that I enjoyed this book。 Although she was already one of my biggest role models prior to reading this, Reşit Haylamaz increased my love, admiration, and respect for the mother of the believers tenfold。 This book is well-referenced and generally accurate, and makes me want to strive to be more like this intelligent, inspirational woman。 I don't like rereading books but I'm considering rereading this one with the company of a few highlighters Knowing how fervently I love A'isha RA, it's no wonder that I enjoyed this book。 Although she was already one of my biggest role models prior to reading this, Reşit Haylamaz increased my love, admiration, and respect for the mother of the believers tenfold。 This book is well-referenced and generally accurate, and makes me want to strive to be more like this intelligent, inspirational woman。 I don't like rereading books but I'm considering rereading this one with the company of a few highlighters and pencils/pens to annotate and absorb the information more。 I didn't agree with the author on her view of Aisha's age at the time of nikah, but that's okay。 It is a pretty divisive subject。 I had a bit of difficulty reading some of the chapters due to the sometimes disjointed writing style。 。。。more

This book has a very detailed description of Aisha (RA) knowing that she had the unique opportunity of being the closest person to the Prophet (ﷺ)。 The book itself is very informative on the life of Aisha (RA) and that from a whole new perspective。 As the reader I'm immediately drawn into the colourful relationship between herself and the Prophet (ﷺ)。 The writing is artless; and by that I mean it has a simple lucidity to it that makes it flow like water。 Overall, it's quite an inspiring book。 It This book has a very detailed description of Aisha (RA) knowing that she had the unique opportunity of being the closest person to the Prophet (ﷺ)。 The book itself is very informative on the life of Aisha (RA) and that from a whole new perspective。 As the reader I'm immediately drawn into the colourful relationship between herself and the Prophet (ﷺ)。 The writing is artless; and by that I mean it has a simple lucidity to it that makes it flow like water。 Overall, it's quite an inspiring book。 It teaches us to be moderate individuals, to strive in the path of Allah。 To constantly seek knowledge about our faith, our roots, and our background。 But at the same time to never forget Rabb, the Creator and the Educator。 I found this book to be very beneficial and would definitely recommend this to all the readers out there 。。。more
